Your Body is the Greatest Treasure
At a certain point in time, every teenage girl may become a bit materialistic, and Apple is one of them. She started working in compensated dating when she was 20 years old and now a part-time girlfriend (PTGF). She has lots of experience in this industry. She had quitted for one to two years for her ex-boyfriend, but she eventually chose to work again as she has to raise her younger brother and sister.
Apple has a straightforward personality. When we ask about what she does besides working, she answers that she usually stays at home without going anywhere. She enjoys sleeping for the whole day as she feels really tired after work. "It is meaningless to keep all the money if you wear yourself down."
She is worried that we can't understand her exhaustion, and further emphasises that sleeping is the best way to maintain good health because her work is really tiring. When we ask her if she would buy beautiful clothes and good food to reward herself, she invites us to see the non-branded clothes and handbags that she has. By describing her income as "money of blood and sweat", she highlights that she won't trifle away her money. She used to spend a lot of money on drugs and maintaining her romantic relationship, Apple now treasures her body and money a lot.
Working with so many male customers in different places every day, it is inevitable for PTGFs to meet those with drug addiction. It is really tempting for Apple. As we ask her about her attitude towards drugs now. Apple again emphasises that health is priceless, and frequently sex work causes negative health impacts. "Supporting my younger brother and sister to finish their bachelor degrees is the only reason why I work in the sex industry again. Otherwise, I won't stay here anymore as it will impair my health." She reminds herself that if she takes drugs again, it will just make it more difficult to earn enough money.
During these years when Apple can still earn a lot of money with her attractive appearance and body figure, she keeps reminding herself not to forget why she started working in the industry, despite being in the materialistic world.
